FAQs
What is coaching and how could it help me?
Coaching is best described as a partnership between coach and client who work together for an agreed period of time in a thought-provoking and solution-focused process with the aim of achieving goals and maximising potential in the client’s personal and/or professional life. This is done through coaching conversations, active and empathetic listening, goal setting where appropriate, and the use of evidence-based tools and frameworks to support exploration, discovery, removal of barriers, and ultimately action.
How do I know who is the best coach for me?
The ‘best’ coaching process is the one that best suits your needs and what you want to achieve. The quality of the coaching relationship makes all the difference so you need to feel a connection with the person you choose to work with. If you are thinking of working with me you will be offered a free 30-minute ‘discovery’ virtual or face-to-face meeting with me with no obligation. This gives us the opportunity to have a conversation about what I offer, find out more about what has provoked your curiosity into coaching, and see whether we feel we would be a good ‘fit’ to work together. If I cannot offer what you are looking for, I may be able to recommend colleagues in Jersey who can.
How many sessions will I need?
That will depend on what you need. If you have a specific issue that you want to discuss, it may be that you will only need the ‘think with a drink’ option of a stand-alone session or a series of three sessions to work through that. However, if you want to explore more long-lasting change in your personal or professional life, you are more likely to benefit from the ‘Balance Before Burnout’ or ‘Flourish and Thrive’ package of six sessions allowing for deeper exploration and action planning for sustainable change. Whichever package you choose, there will be the option to book further follow-up sessions.
Where would we meet?
If you live in Jersey, our sessions can take place in person, at a mutually agreeable venue such as a central venue, your own workplace or if the weather permits, we can even take our sessions outside.
If you do not live locally, we can meet virtually on Zoom.
How much do you charge?
The cost depends on the package you choose so there should be an option that suits you. Prices are reviewed annually with different rates for organisations and private individuals. A private individual can expect to pay £150 for a stand alone session. Purchasing a longer package results in an hourly reduction (£120 per hour). Corporate rates apply - please contact for more information.
Payments can be made in full at the time of booking to secure the dates for your sessions or we can negotiate a payment plan.
